A
bouquet plate of potato roses is the result of today's kitchen activity with students. Only three students registered, probably because most had no idea what I was talking about in the announcement.
The finished roses were also very welcome in the department office, so I guess it wasn't the last time we did this.

ReplyDeleteThats a great idea! Ive seen this done with apples but not taters. Looks scrumptious
ReplyDeleteSieht gelungen aus! 👍
ReplyDeleteJAnnabelle I haven't seen an apple version. Here you cut slices, lay them out stacked in a row, brush or sprinkle on condiments, then roll the row up. How is it done with apples?

JAnnabelle interesting, that's almost the same procedure. Need to try that... Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOlaf Fichtner you're welcome
ReplyDeleteI just love potatoes and we buy Cyprus spuds by the sackful, expensive but worth it
ReplyDeleteDave Sutton in Germany I bought bags of five or ten kg, here they are sold by the piece...
ReplyDeleteOlaf Fichtner You can get them singly in the supermarkets here but we use a local farm shop as buying in bulk is cheaper. We let some go to seed and will plant them out later but you really need that rich red soil in the Sotira area of Cyprus to plant them in
