Hey, I saw it on the internet, it must be true! This is embarrassing on so many levels...

I mean, even in discussions between ordinary people (at least if they are partly intelligent) it is usually expected that reliable sources are presented to support an argument. Along comes a government and says "It was written on Twitter/Facebook/Youtube..."

OK, scrap NSA, satellites etc, because all you need is "social media"...
