The tigers caught this visitor.

The tigers caught this visitor. (Seriously, how do these get in?) Does anyone know a name? I think I've never seen this pattern.

Ah, thanks everyone, it must indeed have been a krait, a very young one, being only about 30cm long. The tigers had cornered it just when I wanted to go to bed. I used an oven mitt to expedite the fellow outside, didn't want to kill something I didn't know...

Asked the vet today and she said to call the firefighters, apparently it's their responsibility to catch venomous snakes - which according to the vet will then be sent to them. OK, next time...
