Lovely little city Taichung, been there several times and always enjoyed it. I also went there for a wedding on Christmas day many years ago, very nice. 😀
Tony Hales yep. The city has changed a lot. If you have been near the station, you may perhaps remember a stinking canal in a cement bed. That is now a small beautiful river where lots of people hang out. The railway tracks are elevated now, moving around has become easier. But there are also lots of new high-rises...
Olaf Fichtner one of my overriding memories of the whole country was the polluted waterways, they seemed to be everywhere. Glad to hear that they have cleaned them up. High rises are a modern blight, even here in sleepy Larnaca. 😀

Tony Hales it's not quite that little and it changed quite a lot. I had been studying and living there once, but I hardly recognize most areas now.
But the exhibition itself is north of Taichung, in partially quite rural areas, probably to kick-start "development" there.
Olaf Fichtner it was a very long time ago and I only visited for a short while whilst doing business. The world moves on quickly I guess. 😀
