Germany is famous for its sausages, even though most people have no idea just how many kinds there are. Berlin is usually associated with two kinds: Bockwurst, a sausage that is boiled and then eaten with mustard, and Currywurst, which does indeed mean curry sausage, although the curry is only sprinkled over the ketchup.
The most famous curry sausage can be found at Konnopke, near U2 (the subway line, not the band) station Bernauer Strasse. (Don't go there on weekends...) This was one of the items on my to-do list for this visit. The last is Thuringian bratwurst on Alexander square...
