Trying things I saw on the internet

Trying things I saw on the internet

I've had suspicions that the part of the spaghetti inside the sausage might be a little harder than the rest, lacking direct contact with water. While that appeared to be true, it wasn't really bad.

So for the second run I cut the sausage into shorter pieces and stuck fewer spaghetti inside: problem solved, works very well.

Biologists have served up the answer to the ultimate question of life, the Universe, and everything.

That answer, as you may know, is 42. And the question, in this case, is how many million protein molecules are there in a single cell?

Questioned for several hours?

Questioned for several hours? Mueller must be a masochist, I couldn't listen to several hours of "no recollection" and "no memory".

Actually, why give Sessions a microphone? Hand him two cardboard signs on sticks, one saying "no memory", the other "no recollection", then let a computer read the questions, lean back and drink some tea...

I know, not right.

No! Really? Smart displays? With speakers? Running Google Assistant? Available soon? For USD200-300? Amazing!

No! Really? Smart displays? With speakers? Running Google Assistant? Available soon? For USD200-300? Amazing!

Even more amazing is that I'm holding one right now, though mine is simply called a "tablet". I also have another, smaller and older one, without Assistant, but still able to provide music (connected to an amplifier) and other information at command. So, I think I will pass on these...

There is enough money to spend on ever expensive weaponry that often doesn't even work.

There is enough money to spend on ever expensive weaponry that often doesn't even work. There is enough money to allow banks not to pay their fines, enough to give people who already have more money than they could ever spend tax cuts. There is enough money to wage war in several countries at a time.

But there is no money to do anything about this.

The article is behind a paywall (or at least requires registration), so don't bother. What I found highly amusing is the secondary headline:

Those who want to reverse Brexit are without a leader, a strategy or awareness that voters haven’t changed their minds

IMHO he was almost right, only two small corrections are necessary:

Those who want to continue Brexit are without a leader, a strategy or awareness that voters have changed their minds

Now it makes sense.
