The usually (that slowly seems to change though) rather car-centric Taiwan has done a good job in making pedestrian access to #floraexpo2018 comfortable. Almost the whole path from Houli station to the nearby exhibition areas (about 500 and 1000m) can be walked without encountering cars.

You say car-centric, I remember it being very much small motorcycle and scooter centric. They were just about everywhere, especially in the capital which at times made it difficult to walk around. Has that changed to mainly cars now? 😀

Tony Hales no, that's two different things: Scooters are much cheaper, so they are more common, but traffic laws and policy in general favour cars. Scooters are legally and also through a lot of rules not equal to cars, they are rather second-rate vehicles.
