sei nicht leichtsinnig, diese Schlange gehört nicht zu den Haustieren- habe ein Bild gefunden aber keine Erklärung, sie könnte zu den giftigsten bei euch gehören, bei uns wird in so einem Fall der Zoo gerufen, inzwischen gibt es wohl auch einen Spezialisten bei der Polizei
Ah, thanks everyone, it must indeed have been a krait, a very young one, being only about 30cm long. The tigers had cornered it just when I wanted to go to bed. I used an oven mitt to expedite the fellow outside, didn't want to kill something I didn't know...
Asked the vet today and she said to call the firefighters, apparently it's their responsibility to catch venomous snakes - which according to the vet will then be sent to them. OK, next time...
