Hmm, should I.

Hmm, should I...? Nah, too expensive: sliding from the second floor costs about two USD, from the third three. That's why nobody uses them.

Lol this made me laugh. To charge for usage sounds like they lacked wider imagination.

Eg I can understand the slide designer wanting to get his money, but if the building owner had any imagination he'd patent it and then watch the crowd come in just to slide down it.

Ah but what would I know.

Satyr Icon this is in a shopping mall in Taichung, a relatively new one it seems. So yes, charging, especially that much, is a bit counterproductive.

I do have to say though that today we only had 10C, which is quite cold even in winter. Still, at those prices I wouldn't go, no matter the temperature.

Don't know Taichung prices, but say 60NTD gets you a couple of MRT or bus rides in Taipei even... hilarious 😅

Carsten Raddatz yeah, you can almost eat twice for that...

So everyone except the proprietor seems to agree the business model doesn't feasibly work this way. Why not make lower prices and have them join the 悠遊卡 payment? That would give it a boost!

Carsten Raddatz I'd say give them some time to notice, perhaps they will. If it was me, I would ask for receipts from in-house purchases instead...

Yuli Kaplan OK, you win. 😁

plus.google.com - 屏東Mission Day, 一日南下又北上,從又濕又冷的北部到微涼的南部, 然後又回到很濕很冷又暗暗的北部了。 熱血行程。 還差一個,MD牌就開白金了...
