Where do all the Berliners come from?
The city's administration put the origin of every person in Berlin into a database and now you can search that database to see how many people came from a certain location.
The article is in German, simply ignore that and go to the interactive map. Enter a country or city name, the map will show you how many people currently living in Berlin came from that place. This works worldwide, not just for Germany.
There are for example 1265 people from Taiwan living in Berlin, 16 of them are from Chiayi, where I live now. A pity you can't organize gatherings through this map.
